Wilkes University - Michelini Hall
Student residence renovation, Wilkes-Barre, PA

Wilkes University partnered with a private developer to renovate an existing student residence in order to provide high-end housing for freshmen honors students.
Studio m provided architectural services & coordinated University needs, developer requirements, and various campus services & amenities.
Formerly named Barre Hall, the tall-gabled home at West River and West Ross Streets was built circa 1873, as a home for Richard Sharpe, the founder of a local mining firm. Its architecture is characteristic of the High Victorian Gothic style popular in the mid- to late-nineteenth century.
